We provide home cleaning services within approximately 15 miles of our base in Doncaster. When you enter your postcode, our system checks automatically whether your address falls within this area. If it doesn't, we're unable to accept your booking.
Our booking system uses automated calculations — including postcode lookups and the Google Maps Routes API — to check real-time availability and, where relevant, to suggest the most efficient day for your clean based on driving distance to other confirmed bookings. A booking request is only confirmed once our system has validated that it's logistically possible to fit it into the schedule.
You are responsible for entering accurate information (postcode, address, and property details such as the number of bedrooms and bathrooms). If the information you provide is incorrect and this affects the time or feasibility of the service, we reserve the right to adjust the price, reschedule, or decline the booking.
The price shown is based on a standard clean for the property size and condition you describe. As no one visits the property beforehand, if on arrival it is significantly larger, more cluttered, or in a substantially dirtier condition than would reasonably be expected for that size, we will let you know before starting. Depending on the situation, we may adjust the price or duration, recommend our deep clean service instead, or — if the property genuinely cannot be completed by one person in the time available — need to reschedule so this can be arranged properly.
Submitting a booking request is not the end of the process — we will contact you directly (by phone or the contact details you provide) to confirm the appointment and arrange access to your property before the day of the clean.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a statutory right to cancel your booking within 14 days of making it, without giving a reason, for a full refund.
Because most cleans are booked for a date within those 14 days, at checkout you are asked to expressly confirm that you would like us to go ahead with your clean on the agreed date rather than wait for the 14-day period to end. By confirming this, you acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel ends once the clean has been fully carried out. If you cancel before the clean has taken place, your 14-day statutory right still applies in full; if you cancel after the clean has started but before it is finished, we will refund you for the part not yet carried out.
Separately from your statutory right above, as our own cancellation policy: you may cancel or reschedule your booking free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment will not be eligible for a refund of any amount already paid, and you will remain liable for the full service fee.
If our cleaner arrives at the agreed time and is unable to carry out the clean — because you're not present to grant entry, keys weren't provided as agreed, access is otherwise denied, or electricity/water isn't available — the booking will be treated as a "No-Show" and you will be liable to pay 100% of the total service fee, to cover lost time, travel, and the appointment slot itself.
Any outstanding no-show or late-cancellation fee must be settled before we can accept a further booking from you.
The price shown when you book is calculated automatically based on the service, property size, and any extras selected, and is confirmed before your booking is finalised.
If payment is not received by the due date above, we may charge a one-off £10 administration fee, plus interest on the unpaid amount at 4% a year above the Bank of England base rate, accruing daily until paid in full. Any outstanding balance must be settled before we can accept a further booking from you.
We reserve the right to leave a property and end the service immediately if we encounter conditions that pose a health or safety hazard — for example, severe mould, biohazards, pest infestations, or aggressive behaviour. In these cases, no refund will be issued for that session.
We maintain Public Liability Insurance. While we treat your home with the utmost care, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible if anything goes wrong.
If you're unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at info@brightandshine.co.uk. We do not offer refunds, but if your complaint is justified, we will return to reclean the disputed areas free of charge, on the next date and time we have available.
We ask that you contact us directly and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve any issue before raising a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card provider.
From time to time, we may offer promotional discounts. Any such offer is subject to the specific terms communicated to you at the time (for example, on our website or social media), and we reserve the right to modify, withdraw, or cancel any promotion at any time without notice. Discount codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Referral discounts: every customer has their own customer number, which they're welcome to share with friends or family as a referral code. If someone you refer enters your customer number when booking and goes on to pay for their third booking with us, you will both receive a one-off 10% discount, automatically applied to your next booking.
Unless stated otherwise, only one discount code may be entered per booking, so a referral code and a promotional code cannot be combined on the same booking. This doesn't affect the proximity-based discount described on our booking page, which applies independently.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
